I designed a flyer for my first son’s birthday party. The event took place both on Guam and in California. I used the opportunity to experiment with edgy color schemes and a theme of “explosion of design”. It is a very fun and vibrant piece. I also used the front of the flyer for the cake silk printing.

Funktate Promotional Print Pieces

Ah, Funktate my Capstone (Final Thesis) for my undergrad double major. Funktate was a music/visual theatrical event. I was responsible for all of the media for the event from the pre-production, production, and distribution. Print media played an important role in the pre-production and promotional process of the event. Here are some examples of the print campaign.

Christening Poster

A playful and colorful poster I designed for my second son’s christening. This piece was exciting to create and I took the opportunity to experiment and incorporate 3D Multi-Pass Compositing into my print work. I am familiar with 3D Multi-Pass Compositing in my Motion Graphics work, but wanted to see if I could integrate my 3D skills in large scale printing. It was a success and I learned many valuable lessons for future print work.

Vinyl Banner Using a Plotter

I created and identity package that included a large scale vinyl banner design. I worked with the client to create the logo first and then expanded to other materials when needed. This was the first time I dealt with large printing and also the meticulous world of plotter printing. Having to go in and clean up my paths and lines in Illustrator exposed me to the professional printing process and procedures that till this day help me flush out and get my sources ready for print.
