I designed a flyer for my first son’s birthday party. The event took place both on Guam and in California. I used the opportunity to experiment with edgy color schemes and a theme of “explosion of design”. It is a very fun and vibrant piece. I also used the front of the flyer for the cake silk printing.

Christening Poster

A playful and colorful poster I designed for my second son’s christening. This piece was exciting to create and I took the opportunity to experiment and incorporate 3D Multi-Pass Compositing into my print work. I am familiar with 3D Multi-Pass Compositing in my Motion Graphics work, but wanted to see if I could integrate my 3D skills in large scale printing. It was a success and I learned many valuable lessons for future print work.

Ta Collage

I created this piece for my grandpa’s wake, rosary, and funeral. It was a hard piece to create in the middle of everything, but it was my way of helping out and also allowed me to release a lot of emotional build up. Also, I think as a designer the process greatly effects the end work. It was a privilege to hear the stories of each picture when I collected them from family members. I try and take this same approach with clients to get beneath the surface and start to get a deeper understanding of them and thus create a piece that is not gimmicky or cheesy.

Birth Announcement for my Goddaughter

I created a birth announcement for my goddaughter and made the piece more personal then stock birth announcements. I really enjoy personal, family and friend projects because they give me a breath of fresh air and allow greater flexibility. I wanted to use the informational card they put in the basket when the baby is born as the backdrop for the print piece. I always try and incorporate symbolic or sentimental objects in my design.
